Tradition and High-tech: Made in Germany
In the Erzgebirge not only mining, bouncing arches and smoking men have a long tradition, but also glove manufactories. But this craft is used less and less, because many customers don't care much about the origin of their gloves. They don't know that today most leather goods in the trade come from Pakistan or other countries with precarious working conditions and environmental pollution.
We want to preserve this old craft in the Erzgebirge and the jobs in the region. The glove leather comes from sustainable tanneries and is processed by skilled workers. We manufacture custom-made gloves
- for people who attach special importance to quality (can be ordered via our shop lederhandschuhmacher.com)
- and for people who have special requirements for gloves due to an accident, illness or congenital malformation. Because for them there are no standard gloves that fit.
For some years now we have specialised in orthopaedic made-to-measure gloves. This is a wonderful task for us because we can help people with special hands directly and our technical skills are really needed. Our custom-made orthopaedic gloves are called HANDSCHING - this is the Erzgebirge dialect and simply means: gloves.
Gloves with integrated heater
As passionate glove makers, we also use new possibilities to offer our customers more comfort. A few years ago, together with our technology partner for Smart Textiles, we developed heated gloves in which the heating ranges can be individually determined.
We are proud of the fact that we are the only manufacturer in Germany that can manufacture orthopaedic gloves with this function.

Leather and lining - natural and noble
When choosing the leather, I attach great importance to an environmentally friendly and sustainable method of tanning. Our leather is free of synthetic dyestuffs and has been elaborately processed for optimum comfort. I only cooperate with tanneries that meet these high standards - such as the Lederfabrik Perlinger and the english company Pittards. As lining for winter gloves we use silk, cashmere, wool or real lambskin.
We have many types and colours of leather in stock. We will be happy to send you samples of currently available materials.

Innovation premium 2021-2027 SAB approved for the development of an EMS glove for electrical stimulation in the area of the hands and arms.
This project will develop a gauntlet glove that includes all necessary EMS components. A necessary component of the glove system consists of electrical leads and electrodes.
